Forest’s new arrivals have had more than two months to settle into life at the City Ground, and during that time we asked you via a poll which was the best piece of business for the club.
So, below we have listed Forest’s top three signings of the summer, according to the fans…
3. Michael Hefele
The 28-year-old was recruited in the summer from Huddersfield Town to bolster the defence, but he had a slow start to his Forest career.
The German-born centre-back was not involved in Forest’s first three Championship games, but then he went on to start the next six, two of which the team won.
Last weekend, Hefele was left out of the squad that overcame Middlesbrough 2-0 away, but Karanka insisted that his absence was down to fatigue.
2. Joao Carvalho
There was plenty of excitement in the City Ground terraces when Forest smashed their club record transfer fee to sign Carvalho from Benfica for £13.2m.
So far, the attacking midfielder has not disappointed as he has shown plenty of quality in this early stage of the season.
However, it did take eight Championship games for Carvalho to get off the mark as he struck against Sheffield Wednesday in a 2-1 triumph.
The 21-year-old added a second goal to his tally against Millwall and has also bagged two assists in the league.
1. Claudio Yacob
The Argentine was a late arrival at Forest as he joined on September 6 as a free agent.
The 31-year-old was released by West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season, and even though he is yet to make a single appearance for the club, fans have voted the midfielder as the Forest’s best summer signing.
The jury is still out on whether the experienced player will help Forest’s promotion bid, but the supporters polled believe that securing him on a free transfer is the best bit of business of the summer.
