da betcris: A new era is dawning at Goodison Park. A new manager at the helm and a new investor ready to spend some serious money, the future looks bright for the blue half of Merseyside.
da esoccer bet: However, with two stars players in Romelu Lukaku and John Stones looking to leave Goodison, Ronald Koeman is tasked with finding able replacements, which will be an especially hard task, even with the financial boost from the new owner.
The Dutchman may be wise to turn his attentions toward the club itself and take a look at some of the young talent emanating from the academy and U21 teams. Koeman accomplished great things at Southampton by using the wealth of young talent at St. Mary’s and he will find similar depth and quality of youth at Everton.
Here are the FIVE Everton starlets to give Koeman food for thought…
Shani Tarashaj
Signed by the club in January this year, 21-year-old Shani Tarashaj was loaned back to Grasshoppers immediately but has now returned to Everton.
The Swiss striker has received much praise in his native country, with Grasshoppers coach Pierluigi Tami claiming Tarashaj to be a better player than Xherdan Shaqiri.
With Romelu Lukaku seemingly wanting out of the club and few alternative striking options, Tarashaj may get his chance in the first team this season.
Brendan Galloway
One of the most positive stories in a dismal season for Everton in 2015/16 was the rise of Brendan Galloway who, thanks to the long injury list at Goodison, was thrust into the first team.
15 Premier League appearances and a new five-year-contract for the 20-year-old reflected just how impressive his performances were.
Expect Galloway to feature more prominently in the first team this coming season, especially if John Stones departs Merseyside.
Luke Garbutt
Despite featuring in five league games for Everton, Luke Garbutt has already celebrated his 23rd birthday and will need to make an impact this season if he wishes to become a regular at Goodison.
Some really successful loan spells in recent times have boosted Garbutt’s notoriety and he is only one year into a five year contract with Everton.
Garbutt’s future could depend on the form and fitness of Leighton Baines, who currently occupies the left-back position at Goodison.
Matthew Pennington
Following a hugely successful loan spell at Coventry in 2014/15. Matthew Pennington’s stock significantly rose and he was rewarded with four Premier League appearances last term.
Despite this, the 21-year old looked slightly overwhelmed with the intense standard of the top flight, especially in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Manchester United, where he looked out of his depth.
However. Pennington is highly thought of at the club and Koeman is the perfect man to improve a player who has all the qualities to succeed.
Tom Davies
One of the most promising young players to come out of Everton’s academy for some time, Tom Davies is the former captain of England U17s, made his Premier League debut in April and was invited to train with England’s first team last year, such was the speed of his progression in the youth ranks.
At just 18, Davies is set to play a larger role in first team football this season, whether that be with Everton or on-loan to a club in the lower divisions.
However, the youngster may be wise to stay with his current club, considering the progression of Southampton’s youth players under the tutelage of Ronald Koeman.
