da lvbet: Alex Iwobi was on the scoresheet as Arsenal overcame Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup in Shanghai on Wednesday.
da esoccer bet: Iwobi’s stoppage-time effort cancelled out a first-half Robert Lewandowski penalty, before Arsenal won 3-2 on penalties to gain a bit of revenge against the Bundesliga champions.
It would be fair to say that the 2016-17 campaign was frustrating for Iwobi, with the Nigerian international only managing four goals in all competitions.
A dip in form saw the forward lose his spot in the team in the second half of the campaign, but it is understood that he is firmly in the plans of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger for the new season.
At 21, Iwobi’s best years are certainly ahead of him, and Arsenal fans were pleased to see the forward demonstrate his credentials against a team of Bayern’s ilk during pre-season.
Next up for Arsenal is a friendly with Premier League champions Chelsea in Beijing on July 22, where Iwobi will be looking to impress once again.
