Supporter group The 1958 announced plans to stage a protest against United's majority owners, the Glazers, this week but on Sunday, fans also took their animosity out on Ratcliffe and INEOS over how the club is being run. Some fans at Old Trafford were heard chanting, "Just like the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe's a c***," and many others wore black to symbolise how the Red Devils are 'slowly dying' before the Arsenal contest.

United fans have long protested against the Glazer family since they completed a debt-leveraged buyout in 2005 but the ill-feeling towards minority owner Ratcliffe is growing. This follows another round of widescale redundancies, ticket prices remaining high, and a deteriorating set of results from the first-team. The outlook for the club looks bleak.
