Kalinic struggled to impress in the early stages of his time at Villa Park, however, and is actually currently on the sidelines through injury.
Jed Steer currently has the gloves for Dean Smith’s side, and it has been some turnaround for the 26-year-old who was cast aside by previous manager Steve Bruce.
Steer has been with Villa since 2013, but had only made one league appearance for the club before the start of this season.
Spending time out on loan at Doncaster Rovers, Yeovil Town, Huddersfield Town and Charlton Athletic, it looked like he was not really wanted.
The 26-year-old has been a key player for Smith’s side in recent weeks, though, and the Villa supporters have been absolutely delighted with the goalkeeper’s form.
