da bet7: Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after L’Equipe reported that Angers left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri is a ‘priority’ for the Eagles in the market this month.
da bwin: The Eagles could face competition from Atletico Madrid for Aït-Nouri’s signature, and as the 18-year-old’s contract with the French side is set to expire in June 2021, Palace seem keen to complete a deal.
L’Equipe report that several discussions over the youngster’s availability have already taken place between Angers and the south Londoners, however, the Ligue 1 side are believed to be making ‘high financial’ demands which would complicate a potential switch to Selhurst Park this month.
The 18-year-old has made 16 appearances in Ligue 1 for Angers this season, grabbing two assists and completing 1.1 dribbles per game, as well as 1.8 tackles per 90 minutes in France’s top-flight.
Roy Hodgson is in need of another left-back, with Patrick van Aanholt his only natural senior option in that position – the Dutchman is currently out injured, with Jairo Riedewald covering for him despite the former England manager apologising for using the former Ajax man in that role against Colchester earlier this season.
Let’s see how the Palace fans on Twitter reacted to L’Equipe’s report…
These two Palace fans kicked off the discussion by saying that Aït-Nouri would be an “amazing” and “very good” signing, although the pair were contrasted in their faith over the deal getting completed.
Dean said “it ain’t gonna happen” although Joe said that it’s “looking fairly likely” – we can only wait and see what happens in regards to the teenager’s future.
Elsewhere, this supporter called Jacob seemed pessimistic over the deal happening due to Atletico Madrid’s interest, with the Champions League side surely having more of a pull factor than Palace – this fan sarcastically asked “who do you choose”.
Furthermore, Stuart noted that a move from mid-table Angers – who are eighth in Ligue 1 on 28 points – to Crystal Palace would be “huge step up” for Aït-Nouri – the Eagles are coincidentally on the exact same number of points in the Premier League, so perhaps the gap isn’t all that massive.
Lastly, these two fans – Ben and Ethan – expressed doubt over this deal happening.

Ben said it “probably won’t happen” while Ethan mentioned that a swoop for an 18-year-old playing consistently in Ligue 1 “won’t happen” – a much firmer statement.
