da bet7: Richarlison and some of Everton’s other players will be disappointed with Carlo Ancelotti’s departure to Real Madrid, claims former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer.
da dobrowin: Ancelotti stunned supporters when he left the club to return to Real Madrid at the start of the month.
And it seems fans were not the only ones shocked by the Italian’s exit, with The Athletic claiming one first-team regular described the move as “crazy”.
As for Richarlison, the same outlet reports the 24-year-old took the news badly and his future at Goodison Park is now in doubt.
Speaking exclusively to FFC about The Athletic’s claims, Palmer said:
“They’ll be disappointed. Ancelotti’s a very likeable guy and the players play with a smile on their face. Of course, it’s disappointing, hugely disappointing that he’s left.
“I think you’ve got to be open-minded now. Somebody like Nuno, from what I’ve seen, the players were all over Nuno, they loved him.
“Maybe you’ll get some benefits from another manager.”
Richarlison is one player Everton will definitely not want to lose this summer. The Brazilian has been one of the Toffees’ biggest goal threats since joining the club back in 2018.
Admittedly, he was not at his prolific best in the season that has just passed, managing just seven goals in 34 league appearances. However, in the 2019/20 Premier League season, he scored 13 times, while he also managed the same tally the campaign prior.
