Newly promoted Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has reaffirmed that the club will not compromise on their current tactics, despite finding the going tough in the Premier League.
The Welsh side have had a difficult start, winning only one of their first six games of the campaign, and were thoroughly beaten 4-1 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Despite this, Rodgers has faith in his players, and will continue to go toe-to-toe with the other teams in the top flight.
“We always try and keep the mentality of the players. They’re a fantastic group. They play a really brave way,” he told Mirror Football.
“We don’t thump the ball up the pitch, we try to create goals and score goals.
“In our first season we won’t be coming to Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal and defining how we end up. Our home games will be critical,” he concluded.
The side from the Liberty Stadium take on Stoke at home in their next game, which will be played on Sunday.
